I'm glad I looked this number up. That guy with the SUPER heavy accent called and left a message on my cell phone just a few mins ago. I was going to call back because he said the same thing he told everyone else. Now that I know it's a scam I won't bother.
Called at 8:00 a.m. Saw that it was out of state, and it said "unknown number". I answered, but didn't say anything. Heard a lot of background people talking. Hung up. Figured it was a scam. He immediately called back again. I answered again and said "hello". Foreigner, male, asked for husband's name. Thick accent, and couldn't understand him well. Said he was from the "Department of Treasury". I gave the phone to my husband in the other room. Caller hung up. He called immediately back, and my husband said "hello". Man asked his name, and my husband said, "yeah". Then the man hung up. This guy called four times here, then stopped.
Called and said he was from the U.S department of the treasury. I told him i don't owe the dept of treasury any money, I had no ofences, so what do you want. I was not nice. I said it in a demanding voice and he hung up.some sort of scam, im sure.
