They call and tell you your loan has been approved (didnt apply for any loans) and then when asked who they were, they hung up. Called back and asked what company they were and were told Cashnet/Payday America. They said they got the number from any website we've applied on (we havent) And they are using records from 4-5 years ago. Told them to remove my name and number, and stop calling (they call daily) and they hung up on me again.
These scumbags are using Advance America to rob people without a gun, Don't send them a dime>the district attorney told me that they will be locking all of these low lifes up soon.
Classic scam. I fell for it. They now have $500.00 of my money and are asking for $285.00 more for "insurance" for the loan to me of $4,000.00, to be repaid at $200.00 per month. When I asked them to place the agreement in writing, they suddenly were unable to answer my phone calls. I shall prusue this with the local District Attorney's office and the U.S. Attorney.
