I keep getting calls from this number asking for a Mark Griffin and I keep telling these people that no one by that name lives here and I don't know a Mark Griffin.
Everything you need to know is in my post. If you go to the link at the CFPB and read that information, everything is there. If you tell them to stop they must. If your boss tells them to stop, they must. All of this must be followed up with a certified, return receipt letter, samples of which are at the CFPB site. Also, you must file a complaint not only there but at the other links I supplied. I can't do this for you, you must do it yourself. You must take the time to learn what you need to know. Failing to do that means that you will be a victim of these cretins.
This man called saying he was a investigator brown from nova core. About a payday loan in 2013. If I didn't pay. He would have me arrested. That it was no joke I would be picked up and locked up. He then called my job. I would like to settle this with payments. But need the harassing calls to stop. Thanks
I surely hope that you're not saying that you want to "settle this" with the people that called you from this number! If so, I can only ask you one thing; WHY WOULD YOU PAY MONEY TO SCAMMERS?
You can NOT be arrested for debt. The "investigator" that called you was a Liar & a Scammer. It's very easy to prove it. Simply DEMAND that he MAIL you a notice of validation. As per the FDCPA. When the poor, beleaguered fool refuses & starts to make ridiculous threats...the case is closed. The immoral Conman that's calling you is a FRAUD!
Know your rights as a consumer. Look over the FDCPA. Look up the Statutes of Limitations in regard to debt in your state. Once you've done all of that, you're well prepared to deal with the scum out there that think that preying on the naïve is actually a job.

I have been getting the same damn phone calls... This guy is a jerk.. Now he has someone else calling me claiming to be with the parish clerk of court who has warrants for my arrest.
This guy James Ferguson keeps calling me stating I owe money for a payday loan.. Threatens me about arrest and prosecution. has even called me at work... The number he calls me from is 470-375-9959. Then I had another guy call and say he was the county processor for the Clerk of Court and he has arrest warrants for me. The number he calls from is 504-565-7300 which is disconnected... Said to James Ferguson at 210-625-4810 which is a different number than originally given. I'm in Louisiana so its happening here to
