I received a call on Monday and was informed that I had been approved for a $2500.00 loan to be paid back over 14 months at $200.00 a month and it would be deposited into my account within minutes but I would have to first go to Walgreens and present my ID and purchase a gift card and load $200.00 on it as a good faith payment. Once I did this I would be given further instructions. It was a male with an Indian accent. I did not follow through and alerted my bank.
Caller said my credit application was approved was looking for my bank account. Obviously, a scammer trying to empty my bank account. Caller had an accent from India, so I asked how the weather was in Mumbai, India. He basically admitted he was from Mumbai, like the rest of these Indian scammers.

I have been receiving several calls from this and another number. Same thing, caller with thick accent asks me about a loan I applied for. Which I have not done , so I asked what loan was this for? He said this one in your name. I said that my name but I have never applied for anything of the sort. So I continued by asking Who is generating this "loan". He hung up. I am sure this is some kind of scam.
