This number is within a block of numbers 312-473-9xxx that is administered by Ymax Communications Corp. -- the same company that sells the disposable MagicJack adapters that are provided with 6 months of free calls within the US when you buy the adapter for about $49.95. When you register, you obtain a local phone number. This is apparently one of the ranges from which you can select an available local number.
MagicJacks can be plugged in anywhere in the world and still call anywhere in the US for free. The numbers are nearly impossible to trace for that reason.
So if you believe it is legal and smart to make a loan via an unsolicited telemarketing call while having to prepay a part of the loan via an untraceable transaction (e.g., Green dot card or Western Union) to someone who barely speaks English and uses a MagicJack phone for their loan business, I have a slightly used bridge for sale that you might like to buy. Just call me at + 4470 1760 2550. (One of my real phone numbers, but you shouldn't call it.)
I would prefer to close the door on the opportunity to take that loan, however.
This number along with four others have called me seventeen times in the last twenty four hours! I have reported them all to various sites. They never leave a message. We have no privacy anymore.
This number as well as several very similar have called my cell phone 20 times in the last two days. I have been polite and tried to ask them to remove my number...that did not work. I tried being mean and they started saying highly inappropriate things to me on the phone. Today i would answer and not say anything hoping they would stop. Finally when i called them back about 15 times someone answered. I told him i want my number removed from your calling list. He said "that is why you called us" when I said yes he started say VERY INAPPROPRIATE things. My husband got on the phone and was outraged with him. The man hung up on my husband but just called right back. I told him if he calls my number again I will be contacting the police to make a report. HOW DO I MAKE THE CALLS STOP>.....can I really make a police report for harassing phone calls? This pisses me off as I have NEVER used my cell phone for things online and not sure where my CELL PHONE was given out.
i got call from them 1/28/14 -- i chose not to pick up the msg. they hung up. obviously a scam based on information above.. hopefully others went to www.ftc.gov and filed a formal complaint as i dd
