I informed her that my attorney was already a member of the American Bar Association. She said thank you and hung up. I agree that it sounds like a solicitor because the ABA sends their dues and renewals through the mail. Also, anytime the ABA has specials for insurance and the like, those are also sent through the mail.
The caller ID says "Bar Association", but I believe it is a solicitor who is not associated with the American Bar Association. Just like the solicitors who say they are calling from Google, but are not affiliated with Google. They called our law office today. It sounded like a solicitor with the noise in the background. They asked to speak with one of our attorneys by name. I said the attorney was unavailable and asked to take a message, but the caller declined and said she'll call again.
