This number came to my cell phone and said it was from Kaplan University. I am not a student there, but my wife is at the Florida site. A new charge appeared on her account which was at Zero before the new charge
Kaplan.....UNBELIEVABLE. My account has been paid and I have made it clear that I do not intend to take any more classes with them because of how annoying their finance department is and STILL they continue to call two and three times a day. Its 9:30 on Saturday morning and they have already called twice within the last 30 minutes.
They call me ALL the time. They never leave messages, they just call again and again and again. I wish I'd never heard of Kaplan University. If you've signed up with them, my condolences. If you are thinking about it, I would urge you to do some serious due diligence first. You should check into news reports about fraud complaints and notices posted by attorney's offices among other things so that you know who you are dealing with.
This number call at all times of day and night and they consistently call when they know they have what they need. I beyond frustrated. Their customer service trully falls below the standard.
They call me from several different numbers daily. They put bogus charges on my account after I dropped from Kaplan. I have told them not to call me they will not get paid for something that has already been paid out of my financial aid. They then said they failed to charge me the 150.00 per check for my stipend checks (the charge was charged to my account and paid). Sorry that is their problem not mine. I am ready to report these people for harassment. I quit Kaplan 3 days into my 4th term due to the fact my financial aid was not all being credited to my account but Federal Student loans says they received the money. SCAMMERS....
For those of you getting collection calls from Kaplan University - you can download the exact amount that Kaplan has been paid from the Federal Student Aid website - please reconcile that with your account records at Kaplan. Make sure that Kaplan gives you detailed records - charges per class, etc. Kaplan claimed that I owed them a considerable amount - when I compared Kaplan's records to my actual finding I was able to prove that they had been paid and the collection calls stopped. Most students do not do this and accept whatever they are told. Do not let them get away with this. There is an attorney working on a class action suit against them for this as we speak so the chances that you are being misled regarding your balance are great.
