craigslist suspected scammers Always want to communicate thru texts by gmail, not thru craigslist or other email, just texts thru gmail. how are they attempting to scam thru gmail texts?
received 4 texts offering $650 for "the item", actually it's 3 items, which i have posted at $500 for all. wants to know paypal acct listing so he can send the money. number comes up chicago but he's probably nigerian and going thru a proxy server and some poor fool's pc in chicago. someone tried to hack 3 times into my gmail acct. (with my password)! gmail is nice enuf to supply the ip addy. a friend of mine is a private eye and has ip tracker program not available to any of us. the hack appeared to come from wisconsin but the origin is probably foreign. it he really IS in wisconsin, i'm a fully-retired biker with plenty of time and a nasty temper.
