They called me with an automated message stating, "Jessica, You are qualified for a $15,000.00 loan. Please call us back to get more information at 312-868-0576". Note that I've received many spam numbers referring to me as "Jessica", so I can only assume my current phone number was "Jessica's" previous phone number. Like I do with all of the other calls for "Jessica", I call the company back and politely ask them to take my phone number off of their call list, as I am clearly not "Jessica". The representative on the other end of the phone line says, "Ok." I respond, "Okay, so to make sure this doesn't happen again, what is going to happen if I receive another call from your company?" The man utters under his breath, "Kill me". Ummmm, WHAT? I stated, "That is completely inappropriate for you to speak like that! Let me speak with your manager." After one minute of no response, I find myself asking again. Dude says, "Hello?" So, I ask AGAIN. He says, "Oh great", and then hangs up on me! I called back 3 times to get the same person, and after asking multiple times for his manager, he instead leaves me on hold (probably because he doesn't want to talk to me all of a sudden, but if I want my $15,000.00 loan, then that's a different story, right? right). I was trying to find a corporate phone number to make a complaint, if there even is one to begin with, and I am unable to locate one. So, this will have to do.
It is completely irresponsible for this person to go that far, when the response I was expecting from him was something like, "It's okay, I will make this doesn't happen again", or something to that nature. Absolutely ridiculous.
