There was a report on the local news a few months back about this IRS scam. I've received about 8 recorded messages since watching the report, so thank goodness I already knew this was a scam!! The messages before had a call back number with a 206 area code. Now this number is listed to call back!! It's useless to report these scum bags, so I just ignore them. Okay, you phoney IRS agents!! Game on!! If you want me bad enough to threaten me with a lawsuit, go ahead!! Send me a certified letter like you're supposed to, then maybe I'll pay attention to you!! Otherwise, all future "final notices" will STILL be ignored!!! And BTW ya'll can go kiss my grits!!!!
Got a call...saying they (IRS) has sent me several letters in the last 2 months, and since I have been ignoring the letters and have not responded, there is now a warrant out for my arrest. I can either pay today or go to jail.
They left an automated message about 'it's my final warning that the IRS is suing me and to call back this number, called back and a middle eastern man answered only saying 'IRS' and asked for my name. Told him the IRS doesn't just call people about suing them and leave them automated messages, he got angry and started cursing and hung up...reported this # to the IRS. Get a LIFE!!
Truncated msg saying for more information "on this case" I should call this number. No info on from whom it came, but have rec'd similar calls in the past. Total scam.
