They've been calling every day for a week now. Sunday morning at 9 AM. If you pick up, a recording says standby for a representative. I usually wait a minute, then hang up. I tracked them down - they are a collection agency. I don't owe anybody anything, so they are looking for the person who had my new phone # before I did.
Actually, this is a debt collector who purchases calling lists from various bogus calling list companies. To be included on their list all that matters is your last name and first initial. So Sam Jones will receive calls for anyone on their list with S as the first initial (Steve, Sheila, Stewart, Sonny, etc.). They don't abide by any federal laws such as "The National Do Not Call List". Don't waste your money on a lawyer. Your state government can help you. Call your State Attorney Generals office.
I have the same story of daily calls BUT, the number is 312-878-7507. They have called daily all last week and say "I have a call for you, please hold for the next available representative. I received the same call this morning (Sunday) with the same message. I called that number back and the lady said "RPM", and I asked what is RPM and she immediately disconnected.
