Called my business and asked if if they reached "my business name" to which I answered yes. and they asked if I accept credit cards. I said no and please take me off the calling list. She said "I don't have a calling list. You don't take credit cards well good luck with that." in a snotty tone. For a second I thought maybe I turned away a customer because they never started the harassment only asked if we take credit card. so I searched for their number online and came up with this. I'm relieved they wer3e not a client but am wondering why they had my business name and why she lied abt a calling list. She could have politely said they won't call again. They won't be getting business with that attitude.
I just had the same situation. For some reason (we just moved to a new location and set up a new phone number for the company) I am getting tons of credit card processing calls so I knoew what the call was in regards to. I asked right off the bat, "Is this a credit card processing company." The man lied and said it wasn't and rudely asked for the owner. I said he was not around and could I help him. He said, rudely, that he HAD to speak to the owner. I told him, again, that he wasn't available, and the man hung up on me.
I called them back and spoke with the operator and told her what happened. She apologized and said she took our name off the list. Still, what a horrible telemarketer.
I just had a call from this company. Since I have gotten a business number, I have had thousands of these calls. They all tell me there is no list but I would love to know how they all knew that I had a business number all of a sudden.
Anyway, this guy was very rude and asked if I took credit cards. I cut him off before he got to the end of his "spill" and told him to take me off the list. He said that he didn't have a list that he was a bank. I then told him to mark my business off on his bank's list and he hung up on me. That is when I looked the nubmer up on google and found this. Glad to hear I am not the only one.
A few days ago, I started getting these calls from dozens (maybe hundreds) of people and recordings offering credit card processing services. They are asking for a business that had this number 20 years ago saying the number is listed with the phone company as a new business. Phone company denies any changes in our service and denies giving out my number.
I few days before this started, I listed an item on ebay and included my number for people to call if they had questions. I am wondering if this was where they got my number and if anyone else getting these calls had ebay listings?
