These are some sort of scam operation. They have an address from about 5 years ago & say I ordered 10-15 magazines & now they are collecting. Never happened! I usually don't answer & they leave no message.
I am a new resident of_, and have had my number for 2 months. I have received a minimum of 2-5 calls a day for two months from this number. I answered the phone once, and the [***] said may i speak to such and such...I said you have the wrong number...he then replied, this isn't the such and such residence...I said no, and he proceeded to tell me that I sound just like the individual. I'm active duty military just moving here, and have no time to play games with this ignorant child on the other end of these calls. I don't owe anyone but a mortgage and a car which I pay on time every month. I plan to report the next call to the police and end this mess here and now.
Calls asking for person not at this number. Have been told numerous times to take number off contact list. Have even filed complaints with my State Attorney's office. Nothing has worked so far.
This is an irritating Collection Agency named Malcolm S. Gerald & Associates, their address is 332 S. Michigan Ave. Suite 600, Chicago, IL 60604....they have repeatedly called me trying to get money from a debt I owed over 10 years ago and being that I am currently going thru bankruptcy this is actually against the law. Whenever I tried to give them my bankruptcy case # they would just hang up! My attorney will now be sending them a letter & calling them to let them know they can be sued if they do not stop calling me.
You are absolutely right. They get a bonus if they collect anything.....and they know their only hope is to bully a person into submission. They threaten with the cops, (just had a call from a place called WorldWide Recovery here at work for another employee). He said they were working with the Sheriff's office and I said well, send the sheriff over and we will deal with him, but not you cowboy....he said are all of you people working there idiots? I said we sure are, and YOU are our king. LOL...Just have fun with it...and don't let them rile you...there is no debtors prison ....yet...with this president that may be on his agenda, but probably not...I don't answer my phone when they call, but we have to answer at work.
