When I get a call from a number I don't recognize I lift the handset (or press the speakerphone button) and immediately press and hold down the # button for about 30 seconds. If it's a robo-all, it will delete my number from the calling list thinking it's a bad number. If it's a real person, they will hang up and delete the number from the call list for the same reason. I used to get a couple dozen of these calls a day from various telemarketers. Now I get 2 or 3 a day so this must be helping. Try the # button method and see if it doesn't reduce the number of crap calls you get each day. It may take a few weeks to notice a difference, but I've been doing this for about 2 years now and my number is definitely getting sold to fewer and fewer telemarketers, that's for sure.

>> Does not help much <<

This post has two parts.  The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list.  The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.

1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

Here is your reading assignment:
https://www.donotcall.gov/
http://www.ftc.gov/news-events/media-resource ... try/enforcement
http://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases ... lemarketers-pay

Remember, the FCC's Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers.   To report spammers and scammers, visit the FTC site, at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

lost without my love
this company feeds on people with addictions to pain killers and other such meds.
My husband is now gone. These predators are a bunch of non-caring creeps and calling my husband's cell because after he passed away I intercepted the last order he placed and told DHL to send it back.
Since they have no right to dispense medications they should overdose on the lethal/illegal meds they ship.. Sorry if I offend anyone but I guess after becoming a widow at 49 you can say I'm very upset and very bitter.

Depending on the kind of phone you have, look up on google how you can block numbers. There is a Mr Number for non iPhones and iPhone you can add them to block list.  They called me yesterday but I didn't answer because I don't answer any calls that show just as a # that I don't know.  Good luck.
