Received message saying an arrest warrant had been issued for me while at work. Terrified until I visited this site and read other posts. Thanks for letting me know this is a scam.
Received a call from this number on February 16, 2017 at 10AM. I did not answer, so a robo message was left, using a woman's voice, saying, "The I.R.S. has issued an arrest warrant for you. Please call 312-967-3439 before we proceed in a legal matter." This is a non-fixed-VoIP number, so it's a scam. The I.R.S. would never call anyone to tell them this.
I called the number back and it said I owed almost $9000 is property taxes and I would be arrested in 48hrs. I asked what social security number was associated with their claim and they said they could not give it. I told him to the IRS would let me know that information, then I was told that I should not leave my house because they were on their way to get me in 2 hrs. I hung up
This voice mail about gave me a heart-attack... then I took a moment to think, before I called the number back. The first part of the voice mail was cut off, but it was a computerized female voice stating that "...right now you and your physical property both are being monitored and it's very important that I do hear back from you as soon as possible before we proceed further in any legal manner. My direct call back number is...."
Received recorded message saying they were the IRS with a warrant for my arrest.. called the number and they answered they were the IRS.. told the guy who answered the IRS never calls and they were making fraudulent statem e nts and he hung up
