I'm sure we all get the same calls from same company using different numbers/area codes, etc., different company names, anything to get out money.
Got a call the other day from this outfit about lowering the interest rate on my credit card. Have gotten similar calls before, unsure if from the same number though. Was told to press "1" for an operator, which I did, after several moments of silence the line went dead, I wanted to tell them to take me off of their "hit list." Am sure I will get more.
Got the same call, but to my 8 year old's (emergency only) cell phone. I pressed *1* to speak with a "friendly" associate. When I asked to have the number removed, he hung up on me.
SCAM - they don't respond to demands of not calling again either. What you have to do is do what I did and report them to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 then call the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and register your phone number with them to place you on the Do not call list. After 30 days if you receive any telemarketing calls, you can report them as well. :o)
