Same experience as Becky. Call came in at 8:57 pm EST, caller asked for me using my first name, then promptly hung up. Tried to call back, busy signal.
They called and I answered. He said he was from a company helping homeless veterans in the area. I told him to send me the address and 501c3 exemption information and he said he could not do that until I made a commitment. I explained that I wouldn't make a commitment until I could validate the company he was calling from and he hung up.
Called and asked for Christine (on my cell phone). Told them no Christine here. Then proceeded to tell me that I could probably help him. He got as far as Disabled Veteran Society. I said I can't help you (he was protesting on the other end that I could) and I said goodbye and hung up.
