Just got an empty 15 second voicemail from this number on my work phone (a 608 Wisconsin area code work phone). I have friends and contacts in Detroit, so not sure if this was related to friends or spam. I very rarely give out my work number, so most likely a spammer.
I suspect that it's just a coincidence that some folks getting these calls had something to do with buying or selling cars. This caller seems to be a persistent scammer, robo-dialling numbers. Legitimate businesses don't randomly call cell phones and people on the DNC list. These folks just want you to buy their phony 'warranty' (or just hand over your credit card information).
I have also received a call from this number. Seriously advise anyone who has received this message to report a fraudulent call to the authorities or others will end up falling prey to this scam.
