Caller left message on phone machine saying he was Special Agent Gene Correction, with DEA and my name had come up in an ongoing, criminal investigation in ref. to pharmaceutical websites being shutdown and he left his number as Erica 313-355-9178 which I thought was odd. Called number back and it did say it was the DEAs office of administration but when my husband gave them the name of who called us, they hung up. I called the DEA office from their website and it seems like this is a SCAM number that has been used many times. He did not say anything about money or warrants on the message machine . But it was a scam number per the Dea's REAL 800#.

I received a message on my answering machine from a Mark Thomas who said he was with the DEA in Detroit & asked me to return his call at 313-355-9178. I called the number & received a recorded message to leave personal information & a DEA agent would call me back. I hung up & within 5 minutes I received a call back from 313-355-9178 from DEA Special Agent James Redfield ID # N22295 in division 78. To make a long story short he told me I would be arrested at my house & my house would be searched over some story he made up about 2006. I would then be taken to Federal Court in NYC on Canal Street (this is not the street that the NYC Federal Court is located.
I called the Southern District Federal Court of NY at 212-805-0140. They informed that this is a scam & do not give these people any personal information. They will probably continue to call & I should just hang up.
This is the second call I've received from these idiots. Because I didn't recognize the number, I didn't say anything but heard a lot of talking in the background. And guess what! I heard a few conversations going on about the same thing. When the idiot calling me finally spoke, I could hardly understand him the accent was so strong. As soon as he said he was from the DEA and had a warrant, I immediately started laughing and told him "good try" and hung up. How these idiots think they can get away with such a stupid scan is totally beyond me.
Got a call early this am from a man identifying him as James Redfield DEA agent about some pills that were confiscated in the Dominican Republic with my name and number. After his bs I called a friend who is a team leader of the swat team to check his information he provided me. My friend immediately called him back and imagine that he got an answering machine. On my break just now I called this supposed Mr. Redfield back identified my self as to his first initial call. I said hi sir you called me this morning and wanted to re-visit our conversation.... I proceeded to tell him I have contacted my friends from the swat team and they will be personally following up on you if you ever contact me again. Needless to say he said "Your an EFN B****" and hung up on me. LOL what a tool! I called the scam hotline to report him and left my personal information should they want to speak to me....
