The number called and said they could lower my interest rate on my credit cards. They asked to list my credit cards and their balance. I gave them the balances and once I did, they said I would have a permanent lower interest rate and then they hung up. Judging from their accent and the language they were speaking when they thought the called hadn't connected yet, they are from overseas.
This number just called my cell phone and said that they were returning my inquiry into lowering my interest rates on my Visa and Master credit cards. I found this curious because I don't have a Visa or a MasterCard. I have no credit cards whatsoever. So I wanted to see what they had to say. The gentleman I spoke with was very polite and had a heavy middle eastern accent. As soon as I asked him about it being quite impossible that I would be inquiring about lowering my interest rates because I have no credit cards, he hung the phone up immediately. This is a scam to get credit card information. I would recommend that you do not give any credit card information to whoever calls you from this number.
Just called my cell 2:30pm today. Dismissed it to voicemail, of course they didn't leave one. Added number to reject list in case they try it again, won't even hear it.
