Seeking donations. Hung up on them. Blocked using my Voipo service. I do not work for Voipo but pay $6 a month or so for a "home line" with every bell and whistle offered. I currently have 400 or so numbers blocked...and by blocked I actually flag the number. When they call back it tells Voipo to play the familiar "we're sorry but the the number you are trying to reach has been disconnected." I'm not aware of the call and my phone never rings.
It confuses them. Soon my "home line" will start showing up on "disconnected" lists. Maybe these a-holes won't pay for my number anymore because it's inactive.
DETROITZN6 Caller ID. Charity solicitation for Childhood Leukemia Foundation. I played my recorded message that "this number does not accept this type of call", blocked them, and hung up. Scam charity.
Charities should not be exempt from the do not call list - most of them are telemarketing companies that take a huge chunk of donations.
It's still a unsolicited, unwanted, unwelcome, annoying and harassing invasion of our constitutional right to privacy on a telephone system that we pay for, for our convenience, not theirs. (reported to FCC & blocked)
