Oh, these people are awful. They have bothered me for years with calls asking for someone who, I suppose, used to have our telephone number.
Regardless of the number of times they have been informed of their error in calling the incorrect number, they merely use another number and continue to call as they did yesterday.
They always ask personal questions such as my name and social security number. I always refuse to provide such information for they ask for someone who is not and never will be me, therefore they have no legitimate business with me. They are not "diversified" enough to correct their error.
Not sure what their game is but I am not going to play any longer. Their information is now entered into my new-gee whiz-call blocker!
The DNC works, with legitimate companies, but it's not a call blocker so it can't keep scammers from calling you. Only you can do that. Invest in a real call blocker or at the very least, don't answer calls from numbers you don't recognize and don't call numbers back "just to find out who called."
