There is an individual that goes by Ashley Richard Stark. He does not exist. There is a Ashley Stark but is a female. He goes by Ashley on E Harmony. He is A COMPLETE SCAM ARTIST. HE TOOK THE ASHLEY STARK IN WEST PALM BEACH AND THE POLITICIAN RICHARD STARK. When I told him that his name did not exist boy did I hear an earful and a completely different man than who he claims to be.
Did he have a foreign accent? Wonder how many people he has told the same story to? Did he mention any other addresses in Florida or possibly vehicles that he owned?
The number is a VoIP line, which means they are calling from anywhere in the world. Perhaps from Nigeria?
These scammers post hundreds of fake profiles on dating sites like Match.com, Tagged, Christian Mingle, Plenty of Fish, etc. They pretend to be engineers, military personnel, missionaries, or some other occupation that involves foreign travel. Often they pretend to have small children.
Heck, no! He's not a pipeline engineer! He's not any kind of engineer! I encourage you to post the name, city, etc & everything he has told you here. I have filed a complaint on the FBI Internet Crimes Site, IC3.gov. Go there and give them as many of the details that you can.
I went a step further, and contacted the bank where he wanted me to send the money. They are watching his account.
He'll be glad to send you pictures, but if you ask him for a picture of him at work, he will find some reason that you have to wait a few days. Then he will do a very poor job of PhotoShopping his head into another photo! It is absolutely hilarious. If you want to see when the photo was taken or whether it has been altered, google for instructions since the technique varies with different email providers. The work photo I got from him had been taken in Dec 2006. He was standing on the shady side of a helicopter that had landed on an oil rig. Everything else was in the shadows, except his big bright head! It was hilarious!!

How could you tell it was a VoIP line? From the searches I did, it appeared to be a cell number thru Cingular (now CSpire) and had originated somewhere in Missouri. Is VoIP like a MagicJack or something? I got his IP address! It's 127.0.0.1. Will that tell you anything else?
