They stated they were from the NY Police Chief's Foundation and were collecting for their charity....Answered questions and didn't pressure, and stated they would send a kit in the mail...I don't know... will need to call my local law enforcement folks.
I wouldn't touch this number...tried to call back...nothing!! Something is wrong, here... Forget my first response, someone got my cell and information...darn...

` THEY ARE A TELEMARKETING CALL CENTER!! IT IS A SCAM!! The law enforcement community does NOT use or endorse them in ANY way at all!
` These people have ILLEGALLY called tons of people for "donations". Typically they KEEP from 65-100% of the money they collect. They are harassing PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISERS ! Some are really smooth.
` Make any donations you feel compelled to make DIRECTLY to that organization, NOT through a Professional Fundraiser who keeps most, if not ALL, of your money for themselves.
