They called me AGAIN today asking that I look at my "energy" bill and they were adamant they would hold while I looked for it. I have registered with DO NOT CALL yet I continue to get the annoying calls. I've turned my answering machine off but they will not stop calling.
Called just now, no message, hung up on the third ring. A worthless call not even important enough to leave a message. Caller ID had number only, no name.
I've been getting a lot of these calls. I always tell them if I'm interested I'll call them. It was with an energy company, either gas or electric, they are each calling me.
Caller ID came up as Auburn NY. A message was left asking "to speak with the person who handles the National Grid bill". Calls that I've taken with similar introductions were telemarketing in nature, generating sales leads of people who might like to switch their energy service provider. I believe this came from a general service call center rather than offices of the energy supplier.
