I do not know who these people are but they have been calling me for about three days but can't tell me who I'm having the problem with. My credit line was fixed up 5 years ago and I'm over what I once was and I'm not falling for anymore bogus calls anymore. The company is United processing company and I do not owe anyone but my mortgage.
Just received a phone call from these idiots. Couldn't tell me what it was about but I need to call another number with a file number. Nope send it to me in the mail, then he asks me for my address. Fool if its legit you should already have all of that information. Talking about a company filed a civil complaint against me, couldn't tell me what company, the amount, the date or for what. He said I will get a summons at the door, I said when you find my address I will be sitting right here waiting on it. I hook up on his [***]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Call received claiming a civil law suit was being processed against us. That they had been hired from another firm and could not/would not give the name of said firm. When told to remove us from call list she called me an idiot and hung up the phone.
I received a phone call from this number on 5/4/15 and didn't answer. Called it back the next day and no answer. Got a Magic jack answering machine. The number then called me back later in the day and said all the same things as the previous reports have stated. Civil Lawsuit, don't know details, call this 877-915-8719 with a file number to find out what it was.
I thought about it for awhile, decided to call the next day. This Brockton Moore Consulting Firm actually had a lot of my information. Full name, DOB, last four of my social, and even my address. The claim was that I owed Sprint for past due bills, even had an old number of mine, freaky! I remained skeptical as the dates of the account weren't adding up and they claimed to have been sending me letters. They wanted an email address so that they could email the letter right away and I didn't give it to them. I asked them to send the letter they claimed to have and that would be good enough, since they already had my address. The lady on the phone seemed very professional and understanding and agreed to resend the letter but also added that the "settlement offer" may not last long and by the time I get the letter it may have been sent to court and or I would get a summons. I started thinking, yeah right and played along. We'll see if this letter actually comes.
I stay on top of my credit and am pretty sure all my debt is paid as agreed or paid in full/closed. I will be doing my self credit check again to double check this claim.
Furthermore I ask, if this was legit, wouldn't they have my full SS#?
