Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan. The US government can't do anything and the local governments won't do anything.
Called from "DC" saying federal government wanted to give me a grant. Why are [***] running in DC lines. they asked me for $200 registration fee for a $9,000 grant at nearest western union. "Safest most secure bank" they said. Glad I looked things up first.
