Same thing as others. Local call, about a surey and job opportunities. Callers name was joe. Called twice today, and it was to my cell phone. I did apply for a job with a local school, I don't bank at chase and have not filled out any surveys. Def something fishy
Just got two calls.
First call I answered, a man's voice responded and the conversation went something like...
Me: Hello?
Him: I'm Joseph calling from WN Positions in response to a recent online survey I completed.
Me: Ok...
Him: (delay)How are you today?
Me: Good.
Him: (delay) That's good to hear. I'd like to ask some questions. Can you tell me, are you currently employed?
Me: Um... I'm sorry... what is this in response to?
Him: (delay) The purpose of this call is to determine your elligibility for certain job positions. Oh, and this call may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance.
Then I hung up.
The delay of the responses, plus changes in static made it clear that it was either a pre-recorded or computer-generated voice. The tempo makes me think it is a very realistic sounding computer generated voice.
The second call I didn't answer, went to voicemail, the message was 10 seconds of silence.
Googling suggests this is a common scam. I plan on filing a complaint with the FCC.
