Called the other day at 9am! Caller ID of just "Syracuse, NY". If they were a legitimate company or charity, they would not be hiding their identity and only displaying a city & state. Of course, I just didn't answer, and hit the "black list" button.
Hang-up call, also on December 16. I called number and got what sounded like a live person (but could be a recording) who thanked me for calling back and said they were Steven Burns (?) of the Police Association of New York. None of these calls are legitimate. The voice on all these types of calls sounds like the same person. If you want to support your local or state police, call them directly and ask them.

I don't know if it is legitimate but they've called several times a day for the last three days. They either hang up when I answer or they wouldn't leave a message. When I finally connected
they claimed to be raising money for the policeman of New York. Between this and the folks raising money for the firefighters in Pennsylvania, my phone hasn't stopped ringing in the last two weeks.
