Who called from 3172803121

Back taxes or debt relief... likely a phishing scam posing as lowlife lawyers... or vice versa.

Could be a debt collector... just below the other two on scumliness scale.

317-280-3121: "Hello, this is the tax assistance department."
Me: "The tax assistance department of what?"
317-280-3121: "Just the tax assistance department."
I hung up. So should you.

This number left a message saying they are the Tax Assistance Dept and that if I or anyone I know needs tax relief to caff 866-300-6001.  When you dial the 866 number, the answer "This is the Tax Assistance Dept".  I think it's a scam.

Rolled them to VM. No message. I suggest no one call back to number(s) they do not recognize! Too dangerous in today's world.

IRS said they will always contact you by letter. They never make phone calls to you. Only time they conversate with you over the phone is if you call them at the irs number listed for your state.
