My boyfriend has been looking for a job on Craigslist. Now we receive scam e-mails and telephone calls. It's a shame that people take advantage of others who so desperately need a job. ...and I want to thank them for constantly calling me on my PREPAID phone!!
It's a bot programmed to sound human, but it doesn't respond appropriately to unexpected speech. I supposedly filled out a survey saying that I was looking for a job. BZZZT, Wrong. I played along with nonsense responses to see if the call would switch over to a human. When asked if I'm a US citizen, I replied that I'm an alien from the planet Vulcan, then the call disconnected.
Called back and learned that it's an outfit named WN Positions. Looked them up and found a message from World Neighbors (NOT "WN Positions"!) apologizing for the volume of robocalls NOT from them and suggesting that I file a complaint against WN Positions, so I did.
