Police Protective Fund has a bad reputation as a fund-raiser. Ask them how much money goes to the actual cause.
"Police Protective Fund, an Austin, Texas organization, is soliciting throughout Indiana. The Indiana Fraternal Order of Police has stated that Police Protective Fund has no affiliation with them whatsoever. According to the organization's 2003 Form 990, they brought in $4,842,738. Fundraising expenses were $4,262,760, or 88%. The BBB standard states that no more than 35% of related contributions be spent on fundraising.""
I recieved a phone call and told them to identify who was calling and they kept asking if I was the Mr. or Mrs. of the home.
When I repeatedly told them I needed to know who was calling.
He answered "Johnny---Johnny Law!"
If that isn't an indication of what kind of outfit they are representing then I don't know what is!
I hung up.
