I bet that your WRONG!!!! They are licensed by the feds!!!! A 501c tax deductable charity in the eyes of the law!!!! Scam all the same but you will never get them to stop!!! I know as I worked for them 4 different times!!!
Received a call from this number yesterday 11/26/07. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize it. I looked it up on the Internet and found all of this. I am on a do not call list. I guess with only 12 percent actually going to the cause they can still call themselves a non-profit organization. I don't believe this is fair. I called the number to, but got an answering machine. I am hoping that they will call again. I will be glad to answer and give them a piece of my mind. I will ask to be removed from their call list. If they call again I will report them to the Attorney General. I hope that will help.
No, not if they call again. Do it now. That's the problem here, too many people complain in forums like this but no one wants to go online and fill out a simple form at the Attorney Generals website that can and eventually will make all of the difference in the world! Do it! Especially if you are on the no call list.
Actually, if you want to really get something done, go to the below link. It's the FCC's form 1088. They follow up on every complaint. If enough people fill this form out, I can just about bet you the Police Protective Fund folks will be in some nice hot water.

Same old story, on the list, and they are ignoring it. Called them, but they don't give a crap. Tried to report them to the state (Indiana) but they don't give a crap either.
I answered the call and told them I donate locally and to stop calling me. The guy replied in a sarcastic tone "yeah, sure you do" and hung up. I was extremely pissed and called right back and nobody answered.
