Formerly known as Sallie Mae navies has taken over. These dough [***] harrass me literally 10 times a day. Im eligible for loan forgiveness (Thank you president O!) But these [***] holes still call me non stop at all hours of the day. They wake my kid and everyone else. Doesn't matter if you tell them to Stop. They just keep calling! Filing a lawsuit tomorrow for harrasment and violating creditor laws :-) so excited to get these pricks!
It is Sallie Mae calling about student loans that are over due. Sallie Mae is usually very easy to deal with as long as you are honest with them about your economic situation. They offer forebearance's, economic hardship renewals to put off payments for the next 6 or 12 months until you can get on your feet to pay them off. Do not ignore them at all, as this will lead to unwanted collection activity.
You can usually ignore this calls as it's Sallie Mae's automated system. Just go to their website and find out what's wrong with your loans. If you apply for forbearance, that usually stops the calls.
I got a call from them today and I did not get the automated first so I did not know for sure that it was Sallie Mae. I politely told the guy that I would not give him my info until I knew for sure, he offered his boss to verify (not good enough for me, I know that a company that lies often does it all the way up. I wanted them to say call us back at the number on the website/mail that you have gotten but he hung up on me :( not professional IMHO I have worked call centers and I always say "it might take a transfer or 2 but call us back at our published number and you will get someone who can help you"
