Call and leave no msg

My elderly mother got a call from this number claiming they were collecting donations so that overseas military members could call home. I interrupted the call before she could give them her credit card number. I don't know if this group is legit or not, but my policy is never to allow her to give out a credit card number over the phone.

my son-in  law called me to the phone I answered several times and noone answered.
so I hung up.

got a call from this number and caller ID said it was Common Grounds.  they left no message

This number calls me at all hours of the day and night. They never leave a msg
