It's called "free enterprise" and a "free country". In China, N Korea, and Russia the governments probably do something about these type calls.
I know, I know...we should be able to have 'quiet enjoyment' of our homes. Sometimes this type stuff is the price we pay. Considering how free we are and the fact that about 80% of the world's populace live in abject poverty, I'll consider scammers to be a nuisance, but not a 'ruin my day' type thing.
Am in DE and my ID showed "Cedar Rapids, IA." Caller was a woman and gist of why she was calling: deals with abortion issue and Planned Parenthood controversy that has been in the news recently about the way they dispose of fetuses for medical research. Did not indicate who she represents are who is funding the calls but, as I understood, she was opposed to Planned Parenthood and abortion.
