I have also recieved a phone call from this company claiming that I owe the sum ammonut of 300 dollars and would be sent to court, I asked for their mailing adress and I was immidiatley disconnected. Does anyone know who else we can contact in regards to this natter, I mean how many poor people are falling into this trap, giving away hard earned money
I just got a call from these people I got scammed about a month ago out of1200 . Don't fall for it . Debt collectors can be a pain but I have found they will work with u . Not threaten u .
What's unfortunate is that these guys have alot of our information. They read off names of family members and said they would call my job. They really just want you to transfer money to them thinking that you still owe some creditor money and you will go to jail if you don't. They are very persistant and won't even let you hang up on them...they actually call back and ask why you hung up!
It's a scare tactic. If you owe money than the collection agency must send you a letter in writing or else we will always think it's a scam.
Yeah, a few guys with a very very heavy accent called my cell number too. He said I owed a few hundred, and that if I didn't pay then I would have to go to court and pay a few thousand. They call me a few times every day from some LLC Law Firm in New York. I asked him what their mailing address was, and he immediately disconnected our call. They have my ssn, my name, references I have used in the past. These people need to be stopped right in their tracks.
