I am getting calls for Credit Card holder on my cell phone as well as my home phone. I just got a call on my cell phone on this number and yesterday it was the same call but from the phone number 401-583-4565.
Had exactly the same experience. They also were calling my cell. How do these calls come through? Same song and dance, a recording saying they wanted to lower my credit rate, I hit "1" to find out who they were and give them the what's what, they answered (I could hear the noise of a room) and hung up. I called back from my home and cell phones and the # was "disconnected." I'd like to know how this can continue to occur when it seems the main switches could filter this sort of activity very easily.
