+32 12 89 31 57 Called my mobile phone on NYE at about 3pm AEDT. The callers name was given (David Walters) and his code (511), said I had "won" a trip to Florida to stay in the hotel silver lake resort with 3 other people, and that I got this by entering a competition and if I remember entering it. I said no. He asked my marital status, when I told him I was single he suggested I could bring 3 friends with me. He also asked of I was a MasterCard or Visa card holder. He then went on to tell me that not only did I win this awesome holiday to Florida, but I had also won a cruise to the Bahamas as long as j stayed at the hotel and listened to the 2 hour seminar - no strings attached. He also said he would mail me the documentation to my address (he gave a really old address) Then he went on to say in order to "secure" this I had to get myself and my 3 friends to Florida (from Australia) and pay the nominal fee of around US$500 (about A$600) I questioned him how this is a winning prize, he said it is a discounted rate. He asked me for my cc number, and I said no I don't want it. If I win a prize, I expect that I wouldn't have to pay for any of it. He told me it was a one time offer and that I will not get this chance again (this is the second time I have had one of these calls) I told him its nye, Christmas is just gone and I can't afford it. He started to get pushy, so I told him I have people at my door, I must go, he started to get even pushier and wanted to know why I wouldn't take this "fantastic" offer up. I said I've already stated why, and I don't need to justify it. The fact that he was calling from a +32 IDD and saying he was from the states, when the IDD for the states is +1, was what rang alarm bells for me.
i have received numerous calls from this number.. I also had a group from Florida calling me about a year ago saying I've won a holiday, I was stupid enough to ALMOST give them my details but then I heard someone say (while I was meant to be on hold) "She's just getting her credit card"
I quickly pulled them up on it and I never heard from the again till now.
I am in Sydney, Australia right now and received a call today from this number +3212893157 letting me know that I have won a holiday tour to Orlando and the Bahamas for 6 days. Of course I was shocked for being called and offered as such without even remembering if I expressed interest from an official website or somewhere else. I asked if the trip was for free since its my price for winning, but the lady told me I need to pay only 400.00 US dollars good for 4 people. I then started to be skeptical with my next question and told the lady I am not really that interested..However the lady started to become pushy and questioned as to "why am I not interested?"...I just did not bother to argue instead, I thanked her for the call and declined the offer. What's wrong with these people? Is this how desperate other companies are to fool people around?? Thanks that I look up this number and found this thread.
