Melbourne Chapter of Fraternal Order of Police. They asked for my commitment to advertising in their C-W Christmas Concert for children. Before I checked them out on the internet, I said, OK send someone to give me a pitch for the ad. Then I found their website; pretty barebones, no phone number. I did more research, found info that 80% of what they collect goes to overhead (members' benefits?). I called them back & said to forget it. (BTW, when someone answered the phone, she only said "Hello", didn't identify herself or the organization.)
The following phone numbers are from the Brevard County Fraternal Order of Police; 394-4021, 635-8220, and 635-8932. Their phone system is set up to automatically dial three numbers at the same time. Whatever phone number then answers, the other two phone calls are automatically hung up on. This is why you receive numerous phone numbers, as your phone number gets locked into their cue, until you answer first. A real crappy way to do business in my opinion.
You can call them directly at 321-635-8388 to speak with someone to have your phone number removed from their list. I also informed them, that I would never contribute to their organization because of their behavior.
