Early this week I went to their website and ordered screen protectors for my phone. This is the only time I've ever used my work number for an online order. Since then, I have been receiving telemarketing calls from all over the place. Maybe...just maybe this is where it started.
Got a call from this number today and it showed up as "HOMEPROTECTION" on the caller ID, but the salesperson named Jill told me she was with Vehicle Warranty Center. Her sales pitch was a joke: "Our records indicate the warranty on a vehicle in your house has expired. Is that right?" Playing along, I asked which vehicle? She scrambled for an answer but somehow managed to name a car in my house. I asked again where she was from and she said "a vehicle warranty center" and kept pressing me to answer HER questions. I said no thanks, don't call, take me off your list, etc. and hung up.
