This person keeps calling my house I DID talk to him(twice) identifying himself as Adam, saying he's from Cambridge card company and demanding my S.S.#. After confronting him that a REAL business would not call someone and ask for there S.S.# I hung up...he keeps calling!
I have been getting several calls from this number daily and truthfull when i do answer i cant even understand what the hell they are saying because their accent is so thick, I have told them twice to take me off their list but they keep calling. i am going to look into how to report them.
I don't understand why I am being contacted by this number, but they keep calling me and the number will not allow me to call back. Just want to be left alone!
They call me or someone from there calls but will not say anything just hang up. This is the second day they have did this. It's beginning to piss me off.....
Kept receiving calls from them. Finally answered to find out who this is. They said they got my number from Trans Union since I was denied credit. They want to help me build my credit score. They said I was approved for a Cambridge Credit Line account with a line of $5000 and a cash advance of $1000. They say there is not interest, no annual fee, no charges, etc.
They kept asking for my bank account information to deposit the $1000. I told them I will not give this information over the phone. When I said send me information and I will research this, they gave me all the information on the company and said they would call me back later.
Called me the next day (today). I asked for a supervisor. The "supervisor" gets on the phone and tries to complete the sale. I tell him I do not understand this offer, he explains it again. I ask if I could transfer another credit card balance to this card. He says yes. (How can this be when it is not a VISA/MC/AMEX?)
This card is a credit account with an online store to buy products from their store. I called the 800 number on their website. The rep there told me that I would pay $250 up front to get this account started which would be refunded later in the form of vouchers. He stated the initial caller should have informed me of this because it would have been deducted from my bank account.
Although the rep was up front with me, I would caution anyone not to do business with this company as they outsource there telemarketing with companies that employ deceptive methods to complete the sale.
