That is a scam, they try to get you to let them hook to your comp and then steal all your info. SCAM!!!! Watch out for these type of calls!!!!!!!!!!!! Never give anything or any info to anyone you do not know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You were more correct the first time. The fake PC techs are ostensibly selling a service. That their tacit goal is ruining your machine or stealing your data doesn't change the fact that these creeps are in the FTC wheelhouse. The Commission has sued whole gangs of them over time.

Only showed 7 digits on caller Id without an area code. The idiot female in foreign (of course!) accent says 'stupidly' "Helwo, we're calling in regurds to your (get this!) ... "computer THING"... Geez. Total morons!!!
There are a number of complaints regarding this number. I did not answer it and immediately googled the number to see if I could determin who the caller was.
Every time I get a call like this it reminds me that if they outlaw guns only outlaws will have them! It is illegal to spam call people on the do not call list, yet they break the law anyway! So remember when they outlaw our guns only the evil will have them, and you will be standing helplessly while your children and family are….
called me last night, told me I had computer problems... like how does he know what's going on with my computer? I have no problems with my computer, nor had I called anybody about my computer... he had a heavy accent, mid eastern accent... I ask him, "you know what," he said, "what?" I told him that this was a scam and harassment, to NEVER call me again, and that I was going to report it..then I hung on him.. jerk!
