Called my landline at 10:25 a.m. I picked up the phone, and put it on speaker. I didn't say a word! A few seconds later a "fast busy" signal came. Hopefully they will not call again. I live in FL. So it was 7:25 a.m. in CA.
People, don't answer calls from numbers you don't know. Many of the calls like this are simple designed to verify that a number is live and valid. I is then added to calling list that are sold to other companies. Just ignore the calls and they will stop after a designated time and marked as a bad number.. The best thing to do is block and that way you never have to deal with it and your number will drop off the list of known good numbers
