This is almost the same thing happening to me. I'm glad i made it to this website and see that I'm not alone here. They (the collectors) were saying they were sending me proof of my debt to an old address where my cousin lives, it has never arrived. When I started to get calls about papers being served I got a little concerned, i feel dumb about that now. But i ended up giving them my current address, so that might bite me in the [***] later. I just won't open the door when someone I don't know is there haha. The debt they want is from 2005. Its crazy.
I got a call they said they would serve papers if I didn't call back. I called back they said it was a debt from 2004. I said they cannot take me to court for a debt that old and they hung up on me. Lol. Amy Hernandez from C&L for Jp associates
Jp associate just call and threatened to deliver papers to my job and home. Left me a long message, that I will keep to file a complaint with the BB on them. His name is Jeff matters 18447122130.
I'm getting the same call from this person at my job, but they don't say who the message is for; I called back the number and they transferred me to JP & Associates. If they are going to serve you with papers, they just come and serve you, not give you a heads up. I'm reading all the reviews and sounds like a scam to me
An actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.
