Called asking for Lila. Told them they had the wrong number. Told me it was some organization fundraising for cancer research. Asked if I wanted to donate. Kind of sounded like a scam.
[I answer.]
[Middle-aged housewife voice] "Hello, is Mildred there?"
[Me] "You have the wrong number."
"Oh, well maybe you can help me. Blah, blah, blah, bogus fundraising/sales/whatever pitch."
"WHO IS MILDRED? Is there really a ...."
"OK, I'll take you off the list."
"OK, F*** you."
These losers served up some nonsense about wanting donations for breast cancer aid. They wanted a check in the mail- wouldn't give me their info- same old bs. Sucks that they're pretending to help people in pain to get into our pockets. If you are moved to help- donate to the Susan G Komen foundation, hang up on these dorks.
Called my work cell. It's a local area code so I answered. Breast Cancer "charity". Wanted to know if they sent a package would I donate. Last time they called on my home phone I was bored so I told them I would donate. Then they kept harping on me to specify the amount I would give. Told them I wanted to review the info they were sending before I would confirm an amount. On & on. Finally hung up. Didn't figure out the scam, but it's there somewhere.
