I do the same, but my contact is labeled $PAM (Spam) with a photo of Spam and assigned no ringtone. On Android, I can also mark the entire contact as "Auto Reject".
Did the same to me. Asking for a female name as well. As a vet it didn't seem legit so politely asked told him I do all my work though my local VFW or Wounded Warriors.
Yeah, this number called and did not leave a message. So I added them to my one special contact.
Because my cell phone only allows so many "rejected" numbers (is it 100? or 1000?) as built into the operating system, I no longer block/reject them.
What I do instead is add their number to one specific contact called "DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL".
And that contact is assigned a 'Contact Picture'. The picture is displayed whenever any number in this contact calls. That picture is white text on black background that reads simply "DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL".
