Received a call from 1-323-325-9106. Caller ID was 'Los Angeles CA'. Left no message. Checked 800 Notes (0 pages Not in 800 Notes) and blocked the number. Since I don't know anyone in LA, I smell scammers.
That's what I love about 800Notes.com. All you need to learn is that the same number that has been calling you has also been calling many other people and not leaving a message. And on occasion someone will tell their experience when they answer the call, so you know for sure who it is. Yeah, this one is blocked, too.
Caller ID said VFW. They asked for my wife. I said she was not available. The caller said, "Well, she has been a supporter in the past, so we wanted to follow up with a call." When I told my wife, she said she used to support them (from mailed solicitations) but she certainly did not invite them to call--and she gave me permission to block the number.
Ugh. They called before, I answered with a business name, and didn't hear anyone on the line, I kept saying "hello" and then nothing. These pests have called in the past. I actually called the VFW a few weeks ago to have them cut down on massive mailings they send me. They were nice over the phone about it. I get bombarded with charity requests!
