They called my home at 8PM. I was expecting a call from a friend so I dashed in the house from my deck and picked up the phone only to hear a recorded message that said they were sorry but they did not have a representative available to speak to me just then, they will call back another time. What is THAT about? They use a machine to call me and then don't have a person there to talk to me? That is out of bounds. I pushed *69, got the # and called them back. I asked to be removed from their calling list. They said they will take my number off their list. I guess I must have contributed to them in my distant past - that's the only reason they could be calling me because my phone number is in the National Do Not Call Registry. How annoying!
They called at 8:46p on a Fri night! Only the # showed up so I assumed it was spam. Sad if it was NRDC...my husband & I do their online action alerts and have contributed in the past. We are pro-environment, but don't like non-profits that make unsolicited calls :(
