It doesn't help to scream at them. They know they're creeps and are proud of it. If you get mad at them, they think it's funny. Either hang up or say something like "Oh, no, the oven -- just a minute" then leave them hanging. The more of their time you waste the less profit they make.
What a scam. A guy from India said he was calling from Microsoft concerning a problem with Windows. I asked how he got my number. He said I gave it to Microsoft when I bought the computer. Unfortunately for this idiot he didn't know that I have moved since I got the computer. I hung up.
This number is a complete SCAM apparently from Los Angeles, California. I recognize the guys are calling from India. I could hear at least 2 more guys in the background talking or placing other calls.
They tell you that there is a problem with your "Windows" computer.
I immediately asked which computer? I don't even have a "Windows" computer. They hung up.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
I got the call in the morning at 9AM he said I'm from Microsoft, turn on your computer
something is wrong with your windows 7.
I told him there is nothing wrong and I hang up. I'm on the "do not call list" I do not
know why I still get this calls.
I got a call from 323-366-9478 from a man who had an Indian accent. He said he was calling from Microsoft Windows 7
and they detected that I had a serious problem on my computer. He asked me to turn my computer on and he would help
me to get rid of the problem. I told him I would not do it and hung up on him. I dialed the number back and was told it
was not a valid number.
Caller evidently couldn't recognize an answering machine message and instead kept saying "hello?" "Hello?" The caller was a male, possibly in his 20's, with what might described as an Indian (India) accent. I could hear others in the background, kinda like a call center. He finally hung up. Area code is Hollywood/Los Angeles area in California. I would gather that he is of the same group described above.
